நெதர்லாந்து நாட்டில் அனுமதியின்றி வானில் பறக்கும் ட்ரோன் எனும் மிகவும் சிறிய ரகத்திலான பறக்கும் எந்திரங்களைத் தடுக்கும் வகையில் கழுகுகளுக்கு அந்நாட்டு காவல்துறையினர் பயிற்சி அளித்து வருகின்றனர். 

முக்கியமான கலை நிகழ்ச்சிகளில் கூடும் கூட்டத்தை படம் பிடிக்கவும், கண்காணிக்கவும், இத்தகைய எந்திரங்களை பயன்படுத்துவது வழக்கம். ஆனால், தற்போது தேவையற்ற காரணங்களுக்காக இத்தகைய எந்திரங்கள் நெதர்லாந்தில் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருவதால், அது, விமானப் போக்குவரத்துக்கு அச்சுறுத்தலை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

கொசுக்களின் மூலம் பரவும் ஜிக்கா வைரஸ் பிரேசில் முதல், அமெரிக்கா வரை பீதியை ஏற்படுத்தி வருகிறது. ஜிக்கா வைரஸ் உள்ள கொசு கடித்ததும், காய்ச்சல் வரும். இது கடித்த கர்ப்பிணிகள், பிரசவிக்கும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு தலை மிகச் சிறிதாக இருக்கும். அந்த அளவுக்கு கொடியது ஜிக்கா வைரஸ்.இதை தடுக்க, பிரிட்டனிலுள்ள ஆக்சிடெக் என்ற உயிரி தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனம் ஒரு புதுமையான வழியை கண்டுபிடித்துள்ளது.ஜிக்கா, டெங்கு மற்றும் சிக்குன் குனியா வைரஸ்களை சுமக்கும், 'ஏடிஸ் எகிப்தி' என்ற இன கொசுக்களில், ஆண் கொசுக்களை மரபணு ரீதியில் மாற்றம் செய்திருக்கிறது ஆக்சிடெக். இந்த ஆண் கொசுக்களுடன் இணை சேரும் பெண் கொசுக்கள் இடும் முட்டைகள் வளர்வதற்குள் இறந்துவிடும். இதனால், ஜிக்கா வைரஸை சுமக்கும் கொசு இனம் பெருகாது.பிரேசில் உள்ளிட்ட சில நாடுகளில் ஆக்சிடெக் ஏவிய கொசுக்கள், கொசுக்களின் அளவை கணிசமாக கட்டுப்படுத்தியிருக்கின்றன.இந்தியாவில் ஜிக்கா வைரஸ் இல்லை என்றாலும், சிக்குன் குனியாவும், டெங்குவும் இருக்கிறது. இதற்கும் இந்த கொசுவை கொசுவால் அழிக்கும் உத்தி பயன்படுமில்லையா?

டைட்டானிக் கப்பல் சிதைவுகளை.. வேகமாக அழிக்கும் புது பாக்டீரியா

டொரன்டோ: 1912ம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 19ம் தேதி, இங்கிலாந்தில் இருந்து புறப்பட்டு நியூயார்க் நோக்கி சென்று கொண்டிருந்த டைட்டானிக் கப்பல், அட்லான்டிக் கடலில் பனிப்பாறையில் மோதி 2223 பயணிகளுடன் விபத்தில் சிக்கியது. இதில் 706 பயணிகள் மட்டுமே உயிருடன் மீட்கப்பட்டனர். மற்ற அனைவரும் இறந்தனர். பெரும் சோகத்தை ஏற்படுத்திய இந்த நிகழ்வை, 98 ஆண்டுகள் கடந்த நிலையிலும், அதன் சிதைந்து போன எஞ்சிய பாகங்களின் மூலம் நினைவு கூர்ந்து வருகிறார்கள். இவை அட்லான்டிக் கடல் பகுதியில் காட்சிப்பொருளாக வைக்கப் பட்டுள்ளன.

இந்நிலையில் டைடானிக் கப்பலின் பாகங்கள் வேகமாக அழிந்து வருவது தெரியவந்துள்ளது. அதில் இருந்து சேகரிக்கப்பட்ட நுண்ணுயிரியின் டிஎன்ஏ பரிசோதிக்கப்பட்டது. அப்போது ஆரஞ்சு நிறத்தில் உள்ள புதிய வகை பாக்டீரியா இரும்பை வேகமாக அழித்து வருவது தெரிந்தது.

இதனால் மிகவிரைவில் டைட்டானிக்கின் சிதைந்த பாகங்கள் முற்றிலும் அழிந்து தடயமின்றி போய் விடும் என்று கவலை தெரிவித்துள்ளனர் ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள். டல்ஹொஸ் ஹாலிபாக்ஸ் பல்கலைக்கழகம் மற்றும் கனடாவில் உள்ள நோவா ஸ்காட்டியா பல்கலைக்கழகம், ஸ்பெயின் செவிலா பல்கலைக்கழக ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் குழு இணைந்து ஹென்ரீடா மான், பவ்லீன் கோர் ஆகியோர் தலைமையில் ஆராய்ச்சியை மேற்கொண்டனர்.

அதில் கப்பலின் துருவை பொடியாக்கி அழித்து வரும் பாக்டீரியா முற்றிலும் புதிய வகை என்பது கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டது. இதுபற்றி விஞ்ஞானிகள் கூறியதாவது, ‘இரும்பு துருப்பிடித்து மண்ணுடன் கலப்பதுதான் இயற்கை நியதி. இது கண்ணுக்கு புலப்படாத நுண்ணுயிர்களான பாக்டீரியாக்கள் மூலம் சாத்தியமாகிறது. இது மிகவும் மெதுவாகவே நடைபெறும். ஆனால் புதுவகை பாக்டீரியா, டைட்டானிக் கப்பல் பாகங்களை வேகமாக அழித்து வருகிறது. 

அந்த புது பாக்டீரியா இரும்பை சிதைப்பதில் அதிக சக்தி வாய்ந்தது என்பது ஆய்வில் உறுதியாகி உள்ளது. இரும்பை அழிக்கும் பாக்டீரியாக்கள் ஏராளமாக உள்ளன. இருப்பினும் புதிய பாக்டீரியா அதிவேகமாக செயல்படுகிறது. அதிக பட்சமாக இன்னும் 15 முதல் 20 ஆண்டுகள் வரை மட்டுமே இதன் சிதைந்த பாகங்கள் இருக்கும்Õ என்று கவலையோடு சொல்கிறார்கள்.

உங்க பையன் அல்லது பொண்ணுக்கு நல்ல ஞாபகசக்தியா.. அப்ப அவங்க நிறைய பொய் சொல்ல வாய்ப்புள்ளது.

அமெரிக்க மற்றும் பிரித்தானிய பல்கலைக்கழகங்கள் சில இணைந்து 6 மற்றும் 7 வயதுடைய சிறுவர்கள் சிறுமிகள் மத்தியில் நடத்திய ஆய்வில்.. பொய் சொல்லும் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு ஞாபக சக்தி அதிகம் என்பதை கண்டறிந்துள்ளனர்.

இந்த ஆய்வு விளையாட்டில் சீற்றிங்க ( Cheating) செய்வது தொடர்பான பொய் மற்றும் பிள்ளைகள் ஞாபகப்படுத்தி வைத்திருக்கக் கூடிய சொற்களின் எண்ணிக்கை தொடர்பில் தரவுகளை உள்வாங்கி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதாக இணையச் செய்தி தெரிவிக்கிறது.

இந்த உளவியல் ஆய்வில்.. சுமார் 114 சிறுவர் சிறுமிகள் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளனராம். 

அதற்காக.. பொய் சொல்லாத.. நேர்மையான.. உங்கள் பிள்ளையின் ஞாபகசக்தியை குறைத்து மதிப்பிடாதீர்கள். அதேவேளை சின்னச் சின்ன பொய்களை சொல்லுது என்பதற்காக பிள்ளை திட்டித் தீர்க்காதீர்கள்.. அந்தப் பொய்களுக்குப் பின்னால் அதன் ஞாபகசக்தி செல்வாக்குச் செய்கிறது என்ற உண்மையை இந்த ஆய்வு பெற்றோருக்கு தந்திருக்கிறது எனலாம்.
